RTech Support Forums has been online for almost a whole year now.  August 4 marks our 1-year anniversary.

Up until now, I have paid the full operating costs for RTech Support Forums out of my pocket.  It's not a lot, but it is an extra expense for me and my family.

I opted to purchase my own web hosting package, because it gives me a much greater freedom to customize the site.

Though I started the site as a supplement to my computer support business, the site itself generates no revenue for me at all, though I have tried to freely offer my advice and computer expertise when it was needed.

RTech is also one of the very few sites that contains absolutely no advertising.  I plan to keep it that way.

The total hosting cost for RTech is $50 every 6 months.  For the past few months, we've been averaging 10-12 visitors per day.  If each of those members would donate just $5.00, the hosting cost would be paid for in full another 6 months.

So if you've found my forum helpful or beneficial to you, I humbly ask you to consider a donation toward the operating cost of RTech.  I'm not looking to get rich    I'm just looking to offset the cost of running the site, and once we reach $50 in donations, the pledge drive will be over.

If you can help, please PM me, and I'll give you instructions on how you can donate.  If you're unable to help, then please just continue to enjoy the forum!

Thank you, and I look forward to many more years of fellowship with you all.

Of course I'll donate!  Don't be embarassed to share this info.  This site has been a wonderful place of fellowship!  Put me down for four thousand....cough, cough,um, I mean fifteen dollars.   Pm me the info and consider it done.

Glad to do my share - put me down for $15 also - it is well worth that to know we can ask questions.

Now in true pledge drive fashion, here's a testimony for you...

"I was at the end of my rope!  I thought it was time to chuck my computer out the window.  But then by some strange feat of luck, I ended up at the RTech Support Forums.  The thoughts of murdering my computer slowly began to leave my head.  I thought to myself, I can love my computer, and it will love me back.  I shouldn't pay any attention to the wrong things my computer did to me.  I needed to forgive my PC, and work with it.  RTech taught me how to do that.  Because of RTech, my computer is alive today.  If it hadn't been for the generous support from people who make the RTech Support Forums possible, my computer may just have become another statistic..."

Wow!  Just imagine (if that were actually true), your donations are saving computer's lives every day!

You'll all be happy to know that all donations have cleared my PayPal account, and I just paid the 6-month invoice for RTech Support Forums, with a total out-of-pocket expense for me of only $1.23!

Thank you all so much!

Pete

Well, Jo just put me over the top with her donation, so actually, with all donations counted, the hosting was paid in full, and I made $1.67 to boot!

Thank you again.
