Why did Jesus call God "Father"?  I mean, we know that Jesus was God's Only begotten Son, but up until this point, no one had ever addressed God as "Father".  Jesus was the first to address God this way.

What do think Jesus was trying to show us in calling God "Our Father"?
"There is no charge for awesomeness -- or attractiveness."

Because that is Whom Father God really is.......Father.

The Jews knew all the names by which God had presented Himself to them in the Old Testament but they had no revelation of God as their Father.  Jesus came to show them and us exactly who the Father is, and how much He loves us all.

Faith is having a good opinion of God!

It is amazing, even as a child, Jesus said to Mary and Joseph that he must be about 'my Fathers'' business, when He didn't return with them.

I've often wondered about the intimacy even as a child, Jesus had with our Father, prior to His baptism in water by John when God spoke and called Him, Son.
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.
By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another. John 13
